Thailand update - thanksgiving

Back at prefield training in May we completed the DISC personality profile. J don't remember many details but I do remember that I was a high S/C. The high C part of melikes to be correct. And so I've been incredibly thankful that God has given me the grace to put aside my need to be Right all the time and instead to be child like and unafraid to make mistakes and have people correct me. I've been so blessed with this opportunity to learn my about he hai people and be like them. It is my desire to "become all things to all people that some might be saved" (1 Cor 9:22b)
I'm also really thankful for the plan that God laid our for our team. It's a little unorthodox for us to be split into unrelated ministries but I think that'll preserve my sanity over the next five weeks. A group of four hels at the ban Suan church doing all sorts of things. Another group of four volunteers at a government school and teaches English there. I go with a partner to another nearby church. Next week we'll be offering some English lessons at church.A couple days a week we will go to Christian school with Pastor Vit andhis intern Teuay. We'll also have time to play sports with the neighborhood children and pass out tracts in the area.
It does bother me sometimes to know that I'm not really doing too much but I am also savoring this oportunity to learn more of the language and about the culture. I thank God for each and everyone of you that helped me get here and that have been sustaining me spiritually since I got here.

Grace be with you,
Rebecca
