time to tithe

I have been long overdue on an evaluation of my time management. I'm still doing well in school (I think) and I still have time to relax, but recently I've begun to wonder if that's truly indicative of good time management. We live in a society where time is money. And since spending habits tend to reflect our values, then the way we use our time must also to some extent reflect our values.

And if I do just a very cursory evaluation of my time expenditure, then my values aren't looking too great. Discounting sleeping, eating, and wasting time on the bus, I have maybe 16-18 hours in an average weekday. Of those 18 hours, 4-10 hours are spent working or doing schoolwork, 1-2 hours are spent exercising, 1-2 hours are wasted online, 0.5-1 hours are spent with other people, and 0.5-1 hours are spent with God.

So, school 62.5% exercise 12.5% waste 12.5% people 6.25% God 6.25%

For all you visual learners:
Let's be honest. My time management is not looking too hot. I'm obviously lacking in my time with people and with God. If God commands at least 10% of our money, why shouldn't he get 10% of our time?

  1. Haha if you switch school and waste, and people and exercise, that would be mine. I clearly need to straighten out my priorities. :P
